Restrictions for passengers traveling to Russia
Visit Russia informs passengers of the necessity to comply with the requirements and recommendations of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) for the prevention of Covid-19.
Foreign citizens traveling to the Russian Federation, including passengers in transit through Russian airports, upon check-in and boarding must submit a medical document (certificate) in Russian or in English showing a negative Covid-19 PCR test result obtained no earlier than three calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation. The validity of the PCR test certificate is calculated starting from the date the biological material was collected. Passengers who cannot present a certificate will be denied carriage. If it is not possible to submit the medical certificate in Russian or in English, it may be submitted in the official language of the country where the issuing organization is registered, accompanied by a Russian translation certified by a consular official of the Russian Federation. During the flight, passengers must also fill in the form provided by the flight attendants.
Following the restoration of scheduled air traffic between the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom, Turkey, Switzerland, the UAE, Maldives, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, Qatar and Finland, passengers will only be allowed to travel on direct flights to Russia from these countries provided that they are citizens or have a residence permit or other document confirming their right to permanent residence in the country of departure and can present a valid identification document and a visa (unless entering through a visa-free regime as stipulated by the international treaties of the Russian Federation)
